The new GREEN PUPS\u2122 line by Bags on Board will be manufactured using cycleWood Solutions\u2019 award-winning Xylomer\u2122 Technology.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur partnership with cycleWood Solutions will allow us to provide affordable, environmentally sensible bags that also do the job they\u2019re needed for.\u201d<br \/>\u201cConsumers, including pet parents, seek eco-friendly options for their home and that includes options for picking up pet waste,\u201d said Matt Smith, VP of Marketing for The Bramton Company, manufacturer of GREEN PUPS by Bags on Board. \u201cOur partnership with cycleWood Solutions will allow us to provide affordable, environmentally sensible bags that also do the job they\u2019re needed for.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The new GREEN PUPS bags will have the added benefit of not requiring the water and energy needed to grow and harvest corn, which is often used in current eco-friendly positioned bags on the market. In addition, the GREEN PUPS packaging will be made with recycled paper and its refill rolls will feature a coreless design, further reducing plastic waste.<\/p>\n<p>According to Smith, \u201cGREEN PUPS are made using natural lignin, which breaks down faster than regular plastic. Lignin, a renewable material, is repurposed from the paper-making industry, which typically burns or disposes of it as a byproduct of making paper.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWaste pick-up bags are a perfect application for our Xylomer lignin technology,\u201d said Nhiem Cao, cycleWood Solutions president and CEO. \u201cWe are able to substitute a sustainable alternative in place of plastic without sacrificing performance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The cycleWood team will be at The Bramton Company booth (#2901), during the Global Pet Expo taking place in Orlando, Fla., March 4-6, to help demo the new GREEN PUPS waste pick-up bags.<\/p>\n<p>Guaranteed leak-proof and with built-in odor control, the new GREEN PUPS waste pick-up bags will be available in pet specialty stores in Summer 2015.
