Publicly available environmental data also shows that material production saves 30 percent energy and 63 percent greenhouse gas emissions compared to the production of conventional nylon 6.<\/p>\n<p>The two companies will jointly develop and commercialise products using recovered post-consumer carpet made with DuPont\u2019s biopolymer.<\/p>\n<p>EcoStrate, currently a manufacturer of signage, promotional items and mud flaps, is also exploring other applications including flooring, pallets and building materials. \u201cPost-industrial recycling of DuPont\u2122 Sorona\u00ae has been practiced for years.
