The new TENCEL\u00ae micro fiber complements the range of fibers offered for knitwear applications.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>Bright colors and an edge in quality define the end products<\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_24479\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-24479\" style=\"width: 175px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-24479 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/renewable-carbon.eu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/dsc-6058-32.jpg\" alt=\"dsc-6058-32\" width=\"175\" height=\"117\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-24479\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Dieter Eichinger at Press Conference<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The TENCEL\u00ae A100\u2122 specialty fiber has been specially developed for the processing of knitted fabrics. Fabrics with superior quality properties which surpass other fabrics of conventional cellulose fibers are now possible with the A100\u2122-technology. \u201cAs a result of the innovative, micro A100\u2122 fiber type, new opportunities are opening up both in the lingerie sector and in upmarket fashion with a high quality standard,\u201d Dieter Eichinger, Vice President of Apparel at Lenzing, comments. \u201cSuperior color brightness combined with gloss and the best service values are what make the A100\u2122-fiber types a top choice. With this fiber a depth of color can be achieved which surpasses any other fiber. Our black is appropriately called perfect black,\u201d Eichinger explains in more detail.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-24480 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/renewable-carbon.eu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/tencel-knit-image-1-basis-rgb-final-35.jpg\" alt=\"tencel-knit-image-1-basis-rgb-final-35\" width=\"175\" height=\"208\" \/>The color intensity effect is based above all on the special fiber structure of TENCEL\u00ae. An examination of individual fiber types compared to TENCEL\u00ae A100\u2122 shows that the depth of color between fibers such as cotton, Viscose, and Modal differs considerably. The greatest difference is evident when comparing with cotton: TENCEL\u00ae A100\u2122 is 38% more intensive in terms of the depth of color.<\/p>\n<p>Unlike other cellulose fibers, the TENCEL\u00ae A100\u2122-fiber types get top marks for gloss. The latter can be measured using a gloss meter and once again the test shows marked differences when comparing with cotton, Viscose, and Modal. Once again TENCEL\u00ae A100\u2122 quite simply has the leading edge and demonstrates the highest gloss. \u201cThis means that knitted outfits can shine beautifully without the need for synthetic fibers,\u201d Eichinger explains.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-24481 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/renewable-carbon.eu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/tencel-knit-image-4-basis-rgb-final-01-88.jpg\" alt=\"tencel-knit-image-4-basis-rgb-final-01-88\" width=\"175\" height=\"208\" \/>The visual appeal of end products of TENCEL\u00ae A100\u2122 is still impeccable even after washing. Even wrinkles from washing, such as those which occur with Viscose, are not to be found in knitted tops of TENCEL\u00ae A100\u2122, a property which represents an important quality edge for premium brand suppliers.<\/p>\n<h3>New applications in the wool segment and Activewear<\/h3>\n<p>The TENCEL\u00ae A100\u2122 fibers are used especially in blends with wool and synthetic fibers. They act as a softener in wool and as a moisture manager with synthetic fibers. \u201cLingerie for sportswear could be an interesting application for the new micro fiber. The latter is blended increasingly with wool and is the height of fashion. The legwear segment also promises ideas for developments.
