The new\u00a0patents cover key technology which is essential to make\u00a0economically-viable and sustainable bio-based succinic acid.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Reverdia President Marcel Lubben said, \u201cReverdia has developed\u00a0and commercialized best-in-class, sustainable yeast-based biosuccinic\u00a0acid technology, proven at commercial scale in our plant\u00a0located within the Roquette Italian biorefinery. These latest patents\u00a0are key to making bio-succinic acid commercially-viable.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will be offering access to this technology under license, in line\u00a0with our licensing strategy announced in October 2014. Reverdia\u00a0will continue to strengthen its patent portfolio to ensure the best\u00a0and most defensible technology offering for its licensees,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Patents Granted<\/h3>\n<p>1\/ CA 2730595 entitled LOW PH DICARBOXYLIC ACID PRODUCTION was\u00a0granted in Canada on 16 December 2014.<\/p>\n<p>2\/ EP2220232 entitled SUCCINIC ACID PRODUCTION IN A\u00a0EUKARYOTIC CELL was granted in Europe on 3 September 2014.<\/p>\n<p>3\/ JP5641938 entitled SUCCINIC ACID PRODUCTION IN A\u00a0EUKARYOTIC CELL was granted in Japan on 7 November 2014.<\/p>\n<p>4\/ CA 2704654 entitled SUCCINIC ACID PRODUCTION IN A EUKARYOTIC\u00a0CELL was granted in Canada on 10 February 2015.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pivotal patents have been granted to DSM in Europe, Japan and\u00a0Canada for its innovative yeast-based succinic acid production\u00a0technology, with exclusive rights awarded to Reverdia.
