Within the joint offices of Achmea produced nearly two million pounds of waste annually. Half of it is so far burned as waste. Thus, valuable commodities lost. NAB will bring change.<\/p>\n<p>The project puts CATCH insurer Achmea in collaboration with its partners in the chain in a transition from waste to resource management. The goal is that by 2016 at least 80% of Achmea of \u200b\u200bthe total waste as a raw material is recycled and the remaining (residual) waste is used entirely to generate energy. The insurance company leading the way in the market and now already gives meaning to the government to separate at least 65% of waste by 2015.<\/p>\n<h3>100% biodegradable coffee cup<\/h3>\n<p>Achmea for each link in the chain of waste management looked at what it would take to reduce the amount of waste and to return as many valuable resources have times in the biological or technical cycle of products. Throughout the chain changes have been made to fulfill our ambition in 2016. Some examples: there is a change in the General Purchasing and Sustainability Declaration for suppliers and partners Achmea, so far as possible, sustainable goods are purchased. The agreements with suppliers to be tightened around use of packaging. There will be a 100% biodegradable coffee cup. And on the seven core sites of Achmea only central collection techniques used for waste separation. Through innovations such as pursuing a comprehensive package saves Achmea also another structurally the cost feedstock collection and processing.<\/p>\n<p>The launch of the project was given last week in Apeldoorn with a symposium for relationships of our partners.
