The objective in the design of this particular dental practice in Central Lake was clear from the beginning: to create a healthy and comfortable indoor climate that contributes to a healing environment. The building, designed by architect ORGA and realized by ORGA construction, was built entirely of natural, bio-based materials and thereby wood plays a major role.<\/p>\n
The building is entirely constructed in timber frame, insulated with wood fiber insulation and a thermal bridge break from wood fiber, good for a U-value of 6.5. Nor have the rafters entirely of wood (from Forestry Commission) and the ceiling is finished with spruce planks. All the wood used can count on an FSC certified or equivalent.<\/p>\n
