The fund invests in ambitious Dutch companies with innovative technologies or solutions within the themes: agriculture, food and health, clean and bio-based technologies. SHIFT Invest aims, in addition to a financial return, to create sustainability and health impact.<\/p>\n<h3>SHIFT<\/h3>\n<p>SHIFT stands for &#8220;Sustainability and Health Impact through Food &amp; agri Transitions&#8221;. SHIFT Invest fund is the sequel of the Dutch Greentech Fund. With the entry of new investor Menzis is a broadening of the investment domain used for nutrition and health. SHIFT Invest is responding to the increasing focus on new nutritional concepts due to increasing under and over nutrition in developed economies. The fund focuses on the necessary, sustainable innovations in the traditional agro-food chain and in chemistry by (partial) transition to bio-based raw materials.<\/p>\n<h3>Crossovers<\/h3>\n<p>Innovation, cooperation and cross-overs between sectors form the basis of new sustainable chains and enhancing the living power of the population. Netherlands with its strong knowledge base and leading agricultural, food and chemical industry has the potential to bring. Leading innovations continue The investment team of SHIFT Invest and its shareholders collaborate actively with ambitious entrepreneurs innovations and breakthrough technologies. The fund offers a combination of risk capital, relevant networks and knowledge to bring. Proven by them accelerate innovation to the market<\/p>\n<p>SHIFT Invest participates to several million euros in exchange for a minority interest. Also, in the first few years of convertible loans to \u20ac 250,000 in promising early stage companies.
