the FP7 consortium BIO-TIC is organizing a workshop on \u201cCO2<\/sub>-based chemicals\u201d on September 24, 2014 in Lyon. The workshop will be a satellite event of the CO2<\/sub> Forum meeting on \u201cLarge-volume CO2<\/sub> Utilization: Enabling Technologies for Energy and Resource Efficiency\u201d. As part of their work on the use of Industrial Biotechnology, the BIO-TIC partners seek input from key stakeholders from the European industry.<\/strong><\/p>\n

You will find in attachment the 2-page announcement of the workshop focusing on the uptake of industrial biotechnology as a basis for use of CO2<\/sub> as a feedstock. Your participation would be highly welcomed by the BIO-TIC project partners. The workshop is free of charge.<\/p>\n

Funded by the European Commission, BIO-TIC was launched, as an FP7 project, with the aim to establish an overview of the opportunities and barriers to biotechnology innovation and propose approaches to address them. The project started in 2012 and will be completed by mid-2015.<\/p>\n
