It will be held on 2 – 3 December 2014 in the “Haus der Technik” in Essen, Germany and will be the biggest event on Carbon Capture and Utilization (CCU) in 2014. More than 200 participants from the leading industrial and academic players in CO2 utilization are expected to attend the conference and share their recent success stories, as well as new ideas and products in realization.

The nova-Institute, organiser of the conference, concentrates the most stimulating topics in a two-day-programme. In the last years especially the technologies for power-to-gas technologies to produce fuels and energy carriers on the base of CO2 evolved worldwide and therefor the conference will concentrate on energy from CO2 this year – although we will not oversee the development of capture and pre-treatment of the feedstock and the use of CO2 in the chemical and plastics industry. So again the whole area of Carbon Capture and Utilization will be addressed again.

The first day of the conference will focus on policy and visions, CO2 capture and purification, H2 generation: prerequisite for CO2 economy and CO2 based fuels. At the second day chemicals and energy from CO2 will be taking centre stage: Natural and artificial photosynthetic systems, chemicals and building blocks, polymers and materials based on CO2 will be presented by leading entrepreneurs and scientists. Speakers of the conference include by now Prof. Dr. Peter Styring from the international CO2Chem Network (GB), Sven Petersen from Linde Engineering (DE), Bruce Dannenberg as CEO of the Phytonix Corporation (US), Christian Schweitzer from bse engineering (DE), Peter Shephard from Novomer (US), David Addison from Virgin Earth Challenge (GB) as well as speakers from Liquid Light Corporation (US) and LanzaTech (NZ) – all working in the diverse field of CO2 utilization.

Current information on the conference programme can be found at
www.co2-chemistry.eu/programme

Exhibition

Products, technologies or developments in the field of CO2 economy are welcome to be presented at a stand and a bulletin board.
