Innovia Films has been working with Bio4Pack to help them package products for their client, DO-IT (Dutch Organic International Trade).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The laminate structure, which has been developed, BTI 43, uses Innovia Films\u2019 compostable cellulose NatureFlex\u2122 film to provide barrier, making it suitable for a wide range of \u2018dry\u2019 and \u2018moist\u2019 applications such as pasta, cereals, cheese and meat.<\/p>\n<p>Patrick Gerritsen from Bio4Pack enthused, \u201cThis development is the first of many using Innovia Films\u2019 NatureFlex\u2122. We liked recommending and using NatureFlex\u2122 in this application because it fits perfectly not only with the ethos of DO-IT, but also because of the barrier properties it can bring to a laminate pack structure.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bio4Pack, part of the Sylvaphane group of companies, has over 10 years\u2019 experience in developing sustainable and compostable packaging. With its sister company, Euroflex, it is a perfect one stop shop to source film, laminate, extrude and convert.<\/p>\n<p>Dik Goorhuis, Chief Commercial Officer of DO-IT explained, \u201cAs a company working only in the organic products\u2019 arena, the fact that NatureFlex\u2122 is compostable, from renewable resources and can open up many packaging possibilities to us, such as extending shelf-life is very exciting indeed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Andy Sweetman, Innovia Films\u2019 Marketing Manager, Packaging &amp; Sustainability said, \u201cOur NatureFlex\u2122 films are increasingly being used in bio-laminate packaging constructions such as BTI 43 to provide the necessary barrier.
