{"id":19513,"date":"2014-03-11T02:00:10","date_gmt":"2014-03-11T00:00:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/renewable-carbon.eu\/news\/?p=19513"},"modified":"2014-03-11T12:57:45","modified_gmt":"2014-03-11T10:57:45","slug":"invitation-workshop-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/renewable-carbon.eu\/news\/invitation-workshop-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Invitation to the workshop"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Date: 1 April 2014, 09:00 &#8211; 16:00 CET<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Venue: Representation of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia to the European Union, Rue Montoyer 47, 1000 Brussels, Belgium<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The aim of the workshop is to discuss cascading concepts and policy related aspects with stakeholders from industry, research and politics following these topics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cascading use &#8211; what does it mean?<\/li>\n<li>Status Quo and practical examples of cascading in industry and research<\/li>\n<li>Policy aspects regarding the successful implementation and barriers of cascading use of biomass<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The workshop is part of a R&amp;D project (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.biomassekaskaden.de\">www.biomassekaskaden.de<\/a>), accomplished by IFEU, nova-Institut, IZES and Wuppertal-Institut on behalf of the German Federal Environmental Agency (UBA) and funded by the German Federal Ministry for Environment (BMUB). The project aims to identify and elaborate potentials of cascading use of several bio-based raw materials to help decision makers to develop a strategy for the design of target-oriented and promising policies and instruments.<\/p>\n<p>The participation in the workshop is free of charge. The number of participants is limited to 50 people. Therefore, registration for the workshop as soon as possible is recommended.
