First announced in 2023, the expansion reinforces Cincinnati\u2019s role in BASF\u2019s regional production network and strengthens the company\u2019s position as a leading APG supplier in the United States. By increasing production close to its North American customers, BASF can combine a reliable regional supply point with its broad APG portfolio and formulation expertise.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;The Cincinnati expansion represents an important step in reinforcing BASF&#8217;s leadership in the U.S. APG market,&#8221; said <strong>Gisela Pinheiro, BASF Senior Vice President Home Care and Industrial &amp; Institutional Cleaning.<\/strong> &#8220;Combining our broad APG portfolio and formulation expertise with expanded regional production allows us to work even more closely with customers. It strengthens our ability to support innovation and sustainability targets across a wide range of applications.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>APGs, marketed by BASF under the trade names Glucopon\u00ae, Plantaren\u00ae, Agnique\u00ae PG and Disponil\u00ae APG, are bio-based, readily biodegradable (according to OECD 301), mild, non-ionic surfactants derived from 100 percent natural and renewable feedstocks. Their excellent performance and compatibility with other surfactants make them highly versatile ingredients for personal care, home care, industrial and institutional cleaning, industrial formulations, and agricultural applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to Cincinnati, BASF produces APGs at sites in D\u00fcsseldorf, Germany; Jinshan, China; and Bangpakong, Thailand.
