After four years of research, collaboration and innovation,\u00a0CIRCALGAE<\/a> reached its final milestone on 21\u201322 September 2026 in Gothenburg, Sweden.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CIRCALGAE Final Event brought together project partners, experts and stakeholders to share the project\u2019s final results and reflect on the future of the European algae sector.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And four years later, the initial ambition has become tangible:\u00a0research has been transformed into concrete prototypes and applications, demonstrating the potential of algae biomass and side-streams for food, feed, cosmetics and other high-value products.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

From project results to future opportunities<\/h3>\n\n\n

Day 1<\/em> : brought together the consortium to connect the results achieved across the different Work Packages and reflect on four years of CIRCALGAE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Day 2<\/em> : opened the discussion to a wider audience through three expert panels: Securing Europe\u2019s Algae Resources<\/strong>, Building Integrated Algae Value Chains<\/strong> and From Innovation to Market<\/strong>. An interactive product showcase and a final discussion on the future of Europe\u2019s algae bioeconomy completed the programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These exchanges also highlighted what comes next: scaling up technologies, strengthening value chains, reaching markets and continuing collaboration across European projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
