This is according to the company\u2019s quarterly report filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on 6 August 2026. PureCycle had previously expected operations to begin between mid- and late 2028.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The plant, planned for the NextGen District at the Port of Antwerp-Bruges, is designed to process around 59,000 tonnes of polypropylene annually. PureCycle intends to use its solvent-based recycling process at the facility and market the resulting recycled PP under the \u201cPureFive\u201d brand. According to the company, the permit application documents are currently being prepared with the support of consultants. They are scheduled to be submitted to the Province of Antwerp in the second half of 2026. The permitting process includes an environmental impact assessment and an external safety report, both of which PureCycle says are already at an advanced stage of preparation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In March 2026, PureCycle signed a EUR 40 million grant agreement with the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) under the EU Innovation Fund for the project, known as \u201cASTRA PP\u201d.
