The work will run for approximately one year. The contracts are worth more than SEK 100 million in total.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>NorthStarH2 is an important project in Uniper\u2019s energy transition portfolio. These contracts allow us to move from early project development into basic engineering and take another important step towards assessing the project\u2019s technical and commercial feasibility.&#8221; &#8211; <strong>Johan Svenningsson, CEO of Uniper Sweden.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Uniper and its suppliers will now, during the so-called FEED phase (Front-End Engineering Design), define the plant\u2019s technical design and prepare the project for construction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>With these contracts in place, we can now develop the plant design in much greater detail and define how NorthStarH2 will be built. \u00d6stersund offers strong conditions for producing electro fuels.&#8221;- <strong>Broghan Helgeson, NorthStarH2\u2019s project manager at Uniper.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Uniper plans to make the final investment decision for NorthStarH2 in 2028. Commissioning is currently scheduled to begin in 2031.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;E-methanol will play an increasingly important role in decarbonizing hard-to-abate sectors such as shipping and chemicals.
