Fashion brand PANGAIA has released the Courtside Capsule, featuring a newly developed bio-based performance fabric that aims to reduce reliance on petroleum-derived materials in sportswear.<\/p>\n\n\n

The collection centers on (gaia)BioStretch, a custom fabric combining bio-based nylon and elastane. The material consists of 72% bio-based nylon derived from non-food-grade industrial corn and 28% elastane containing approximately 70% plant-based content from Hyosung TNC. Bio-based content was verified using ASTM D6866 methodology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fabric is engineered to match conventional activewear performance<\/a> while shifting to renewable material sources. It features a double-knit structure designed for stretch, recovery, and breathability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PANGAIA also includes pieces made from 100% Global Recycling Standard-certified recycled nylon as part of the capsule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The collection incorporates HeiQ Cool technology for thermal regulation. This treatment uses a bio-based polymer derived from vegetable oil and contains over 50% USDA certified bio-based content. It provides contact and evaporative cooling without paraffins, melamine, or formaldehyde.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For odor control, garments are treated with HeiQ Mint, a plant-based system using natural mint essential oils. The treatment contains approximately 70% bio-based content and is designed to last up to 20 home washes without affecting fabric breathability or feel. The capsule is styled for both athletic and everyday wear. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
