Since 2020, he has served as Deputy Head of the latter one. He also played a key role in establishing the Renewable Carbon Initiative (RCI), founded in 2020, where he now acts as one of two Executive Managers. In 2026, Christopher also took on the role of Head of the newly established Renewable Feedstock department.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In his day-to-day work, Christopher focuses primarily on managing and further developing the RCI, as well as designing strategic concepts to support the transformation of the chemical industry towards renewable carbon feedstocks. He also analyses policies and regulations affecting the renewable carbon sector. He is closely involved in the execution of projects and webinars for both the RCI and the Renewable Feedstock department.&nbsp;<a>His expertise also covers feedstock availability, demand dynamics, and future potential<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Background and expertise<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Christopher holds a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Biology and a Master\u2019s degree (Diplom-Ingenieur) in Natural Resources Management and Ecological Engineering, with a focus on biotechnology, sustainability in a globalised economy, and ecosystems. Following his studies, he completed internships at the German GIZ in Eschborn and at Climate-KIC in Zurich, broadening his perspective on sustainability and life-cycle thinking.
