Start-ups in the fields of sustainable materials and defossilisation are facing increasing expectations from investors \u2013 particularly regarding ESG compliance, measurable environmental impact, and regulatory alignment. At nova, we have built extensive experience supporting investors in evaluating start-ups along these dimensions, combining scientific depth with a strong understanding of investment logic.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We now make this experience accessible to start-ups. Our new service offering supports young companies in preparing for due diligence processes and investor discussions through a modular approach \u2013 ranging from Foundational<\/em> (ESG screening & orientation), to Advanced <\/em>(techno-economic and strategic assessment), up to Investor-ready<\/em> (full due diligence preparation and investor alignment). This includes the development of robust impact metrics, alignment with frameworks such as EU Taxonomy and Article 9, as well as the assessment of technology maturity, scalability, and market positioning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A particular focus lies on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and carbon accounting. We support start-ups in quantifying their environmental impact, calculating fossil substitution potential and renewable carbon shares, and translating these into clear, investor-relevant KPIs. This creates a credible and transparent basis for communication with investors, regulators, and partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By combining scientific rigor with practical investment insight, we help start-ups present their innovations in a clear, credible, and compelling way \u2013 increasing their chances of successfully bringing valuable solutions to market and contributing to the transition towards a sustainable economy.<\/p>\n\n\n
