The collaboration turns a production byproduct into feedstock for renewable fuel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Biomethane production naturally separates CO\u2082 from biogas during the upgrading process. AGR Biog\u00e1s generates this biogenic carbon dioxide by processing organic waste streams. Rather than venting it, the company will now channel it to adjacent TURN2X facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The partnership launches at two locations in Andalusia and Extremadura. TURN2X will build installations directly beside AGR Biog\u00e1s plants to enable the carbon dioxide transfer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The arrangement creates a circular carbon system. Organic waste becomes biogas, which yields both biomethane and biogenic CO\u2082. That CO\u2082 then combines with green hydrogen to produce additional renewable gas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AGR Biog\u00e1s will also receive renewable heat from TURN2X operations, replacing thermal energy the biomethane producer would otherwise need. This heat exchange further improves the environmental performance of both processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AGR Biog\u00e1s CEO David Pi\u00f1ero emphasized maximizing value from biogenic CO\u2082. He said the collaboration positions biomethane plants as central hubs in Spain\u2019s renewable gas ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The companies will explore sharing gas grid infrastructure to reduce connection costs.
