The facility is located in Termoli (Campobasso, Italy), and the transaction was completed for a consideration of\u00a02.7 million euros, funded through the company\u2019s internal cash resources.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"350\" height=\"212\" src=\"https:\/\/renewable-carbon.eu\/news\/media\/2026\/03\/res_260319_anteprima_0.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-175350\" style=\"width:284px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/renewable-carbon.eu\/news\/media\/2026\/03\/res_260319_anteprima_0.jpg 350w, https:\/\/renewable-carbon.eu\/news\/media\/2026\/03\/res_260319_anteprima_0-300x182.jpg 300w, https:\/\/renewable-carbon.eu\/news\/media\/2026\/03\/res_260319_anteprima_0-150x91.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 350px) 100vw, 350px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">\u00a9 RES S.p.A.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>The plant has&nbsp;<strong>an annual production capacity of 5,000 tonnes<\/strong>&nbsp;based on&nbsp;<strong>Sulzer technology<\/strong>, one of the world\u2019s leading suppliers of such solutions. According to current projections,&nbsp;<strong>it is expected to become operational in the fourth quarter of 2027<\/strong>, creating&nbsp;<strong>20 new jobs<\/strong>. Once fully ramped up, from 2028 onwards&nbsp;<strong>it is expected to generate annual revenues of approximately 20-25 million euros<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>PLA<\/strong>\u00a0is the polymer underpinning the production of\u00a0<strong>biodegradable and compostable plastics<\/strong>.
