Stora Enso has published a climate resilience plan outlining its approach to climate action, target attainment,\u202f and business preparedness for future climate scenarios. The plan includes a forecast for emission reductions across all scopes by 2030.\u202f\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end of 2025, the Group\u2019s Scope 1 and 2 CO2<\/sub>e emissions were 61% lower and the estimated Scope 3 emissions 38% lower than in the 2019 base year.\u202fThe target is to\u202fachieve\u202fa 50% reduction in all scopes by 2030.\u202f\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The climate resilience plan outlines how climate-related considerations are integrated into the Group\u2019s strategy and operational decision-making, as well as Board oversight. As part of this plan, Stora Enso also commits to phasing out\u202fcoal, which\u202frepresented 2% of the Group total energy consumption in 2025.\u202f\u202f \u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n
