This will ensure optimal production and improve cost-effectiveness of green ammonia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The dynamic approach is important as it optimizes operations and ensures less need for costly storage solutions of green hydrogen or renewable power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>Kim Hedegaard, CEO Power-to-X at Topsoe, said:<\/strong><br>\u201cThis is a significant achievement. By working across the value chain, we\u2019re accelerating green ammonia as a pathway to diversify our energy supply and decarbonize energy-intensive industries and long-distance transportation like shipping and agriculture.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Niels Erik Madsen, CEO at Skovgaard Energy, said:<br><\/strong>\u201cWe are extremely proud of this groundbreaking project in Northwest Jutland driving innovation, growth and job creation locally. It demonstrates the energy systems of tomorrow \u2013 scalable worldwide to accelerate the green transition.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ammonia to play a critical role<\/strong><br>Topsoe delivers the ammonia technology, and Vestas delivers renewable wind power adding to the power provided from Skovgaard Energy\u2019s solar panels and wind turbines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ammonia \u2013 either in the form of low-carbon ammonia or as an e-fuel \u2013 is expected to play a critical role in the world\u2019s fuel mix. It can be transported using existing infrastructure; and it has multiple end-uses, not only as a fuel or hydrogen carrier but also to help decarbonize industrial processes like agriculture, shipping and steel production.<br><strong><br>Facts about the green ammonia plant<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The plant is a demonstration project, which have received funding from the\u00a0Danish Energy Technology Development and Demonstration Program (EUDP)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Location: Ramme near Lemvig, Northwest Jutland, Denmark.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Output: 5,000 tons of green ammonia annually from renewable power.
