Solinatra Europe B.V. and Paques Biomaterials B.V. will sign a Joint Development Plan and Conditional Offtake Agreement to jointly develop and commercialise next-generation, fully biodegradable materials as an alternative to fossil-based single-use plastics.<\/strong>

The collaboration brings together Solinatra\u2019s expertise in compounding and bringing sustainable materials to market with Paques Biomaterials\u2019 proprietary technology for producing PHBV biopolymers from residual organic waste streams. Under the agreement, Paques Biomaterials will supply PHBV biopolymers for use in Solinatra\u2019s material portfolio, following a phased joint development programme\u00a0from lab validation through industrial pilots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shorten time-to-market for high-performance natural alternatives to conventional plastics<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

By aligning material development, certification, and scale-up from the outset, the partnership is designed to shorten\u00a0time-to-market for high-performance natural alternatives to conventional plastics significantly. The collaboration also supports rapid scaling to commercial volumes, enabling brand owners and converters to switch away from fossil-based single-use plastics sooner and at\u00a0a\u00a0meaningful scale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Subject to successful development and certification, Solinatra intends to source significant commercial volumes of PHBV from Paques Biomaterials, providing a clear pathway to long-term offtake as production capacity comes online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
