At the heart of the concept is Rilsan® Clear transparent polyamide, which is more than 60% bio-based (castor oil). Its high mechanical, chemical, and wear resistance, along with its durability in demanding environments (automotive, aerospace, premium consumer goods), make it a standout material. Through this joint project, it now emerges as an ideal choice for high-end design and furniture applications.

Conceptual modeling

This coffee table is the result of advanced 3D modelling, generative algorithms, large-format pellet extrusion additive manufacturing, and a close dialogue between material engineering and design creation. Poolp employs a robotic large-format 3D printing process, commonly referred to as Large Format Additive Manufacturing (LFAM), which prints directly from pellets. This approach enables rapid execution, reduced waste, and the ability to create complex, large-scale geometries.

Developed and produced in France, this unique piece embodies the alliance of industrial expertise and algorithmic design. It reflects the emergence of a new model of more sustainable, circular, on-demand production made possible by additive manufacturing and specialty materials.

Nomura – technical specifications

Glass top, Ø 90 cm — thickness 3/4 cm

Structure, 90 × 45 cm

About Poolp

Poolp was founded by Thomas Sicouri and Lorenzo Rogai Fauvette around a clear vision: transforming plastic waste into beautiful, useful, and durable objects. By combining industrial robotics, algorithmic design, and a commitment to the circular economy, the studio has forged a new path in contemporary creation. Produced on demand, each piece gives materials a second life — whether using recycled plastics or innovative bio-based compounds. By rethinking the relationship between materials and manufacturing processes, Poolp reduces waste and emissions while offering a sustainable, intelligent alternative to traditional production methods. Layer by layer, each creation demonstrates that sustainability and innovation can advance together, without compromising on creativity or aesthetics

Named Nomura, in reference to the giant jellyfish native to Japanese waters, this unique piece is made from Rilsan® Clear transparent polyamide pellets.
