The collaboration involves embedding SMX\u2019s invisible molecular marker into Bio-Packaging\u2019s PCR, biodegradable, and compostable products. This marker creates a tamper-proof \u201cdigital twin\u201d that is scanned at various stages. Each scan records a verified proof of origin, material type, recycling process, and composting results on SMX\u2019s blockchain platform in real time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lim Qin Jie, Director of Business Development at Bio-Packaging, explained that their customers trust them for practical, cost-effective packaging that meets Singapore\u2019s strict environmental standards. By combining SMX\u2019s traceability technology with their PCR, biodegradable, and compostable offerings, they can now provide indisputable evidence that their products fulfill their eco-promises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The data generated aligns with Singapore\u2019s upcoming Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) scheme for packaging and supports global plastic tax reporting. Additionally, the embedded metadata offers anti-greenwashing assurance<\/a><\/strong>, verifying claims of biodegradability and recycled content.
