KG), Lars von Lehmden (Managing Director EnviTec Plant Construction) \u00a9 EnviTec Biogas AG<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p><strong>A premiere in Belgium: EnviTec Biogas, together with Byont, a leading Dutch energy provider based in Hengelo, has signed its first contract for the construction of a biogas upgrading plant with CO<sub>2<\/sub> liquefaction in Belgium.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cThe plant will be connected to an existing biogas facility and, upon its scheduled completion in July 2026, will inject 735 Nm\u00b3\/h of biomethane into the Belgian gas grid,\u201d reports <strong>Maurice Markerink, Managing Director of EnviTec<\/strong> Plant Construction. In addition, 24 tons of bio-LCO<sub>2<\/sub> will be produced on-site every day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis enables us to actively contribute to promoting the supply of green energy and the circular economy of CO<sub>2<\/sub>,\u201d says <strong>Roel Slotman, CEO of Byont<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to implementing the planned EnviThan gas upgrading system with CO<sub>2<\/sub>&nbsp;liquefaction, the Lower Saxony-based biogas plant manufacturer will also be responsible for the conversion of the existing biogas facility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cThis ensures that the entire plant will comply with the latest standards,\u201d&nbsp;<strong>Markerink<\/strong>&nbsp;adds.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, two more biogas plants operated by Byont are in the planning and approval phase. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cWe also intend to convert these two Dutch plants to biomethane production combined with CO<sub>2<\/sub> liquefaction technology, utilizing EnviTec Biogas\u2019s engineering expertise,\u201d <strong>Slotman<\/strong> explains.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Byont develops, operates, and invests in biogas projects across the Benelux region and Germany. The company focuses on converting organic residues into renewable gases such as biomethane and bio-LNG, thereby actively contributing to building a decarbonized energy future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>About EnviTec Biogas AG<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>EnviTec Biogas AG covers the entire value chain for the production of biogas, including the planning and construction of biogas plants and biogas upgrading plants as well as their commissioning. The company takes charge of biological and technical services on demand and also offers operational management services.
