A ceremony was held on September 24, 2025, to mark the start of construction of the\u00a0Chemical Invention Factory \u2013 John Warner Center for Start-ups in Green Chemistry. The symbolic groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Dr. Ina Czyborra, Senator for Science, Health, and Care of the State of Berlin, Prof. Dr. Geraldine Rauch, President of the Technical University of Berlin, Prof. Dr. John Warner, namesake of the building, honorary professor at the TU Berlin, and co-founder of the 12 Principles of Green Chemistry, as well as other participants.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Chemical Invention Factory (CIF) will create Europe’s largest laboratory infrastructure for transfer and pre-start-up teams in green chemistry.<\/strong> In the future, up to twelve research-oriented start-up teams will be supported in developing their research results into marketable products in the approximately 1,000 square meters of floor space. In addition to the necessary laboratory equipment, the teams will also have access to state-of-the-art analytical equipment free of charge for two to four years to support spin-offs in the complex field of chemistry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CIF is to be built on the Charlottenburg campus of the TU Berlin on Marchstra\u00dfe by 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n
