With growing regulatory pressure for air purification companies and growing market demand for bio-based gas filter media, our platform is well-positioned for rapid adoption.”

In October 2024, the European Union (EU) adopted the updated Ambient Air Quality Directive, aimed at safeguarding public health. The directive sets stricter limits for major pollutants such as particulate matter (PM10 and PM2.5), nitrogen dioxide, and sulfur dioxide—substances closely linked to respiratory problems. Adsorbi targets the multi-billion-dollar market of gaseous pollution removal with their innovative adsorbents produced from wood-based cellulose fibers.

“It is great to follow Adsorbi’s determined progress on the path to full commercialisation. The combined effects of ambient air pollution and household air pollution are associated with 6.7 million premature deaths annually.
