The formulation containing 1,12-dodecylenediamine (THB-PBOZs-DDA) proved especially promising. It exhibited a high crosslink density (gel content: 86\u202f\u00b1\u202f2.71\u202f%) and strong mechanical properties, including a tensile strength of 3.3\u202fMPa and an elastic modulus of 32.1\u202fMPa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Antibacterial action and fouling-release synergy<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>THB-PBOZs-DDA demonstrated excellent substrate adhesion (5.43\u202fMPa) and a smooth, hydrophobic surface with a water contact angle of 133\u00b0. Its antibacterial activity further enhanced its fouling-release capability, making it an effective non-toxic alternative to traditional coatings.
