This facility houses INERATEC&#8217;s first commercial-scale plant, the largest power-to-liquid (PtL) plant of its kind in Europe \u2013 and worldwide. Located in an industrial park, it uses renewable hydrogen and biogenic CO\u2082 to produce synthetic hydrocarbons that are further processed into drop-in fuels, waxes, and chemicals. These products are compatible with existing infrastructure and will meet regulatory requirements for sustainable fuels in various industries, including aviation, shipping, and the chemical industry.<br><br>Since its founding in 2016, INERATEC has delivered more than a dozen pilot and demonstration plants. The company&#8217;s technology has been validated in various environments\u2014from laboratory applications to mobile applications and pilot plants. The industrial production phase is now beginning, with commercially relevant product quantities becoming available for the first time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Supported by renowned investors and the EU<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The project is supported by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Consumer Protection (BMUV), the EU Innovation Fund, the European Investment Bank (EIB), and renowned investors such as Piva Capital, Breakthrough Energy Ventures, HG Ventures, ENGIE New Ventures, Safran Corporate Ventures, and Honda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An official opening ceremony for the Frankfurt site will follow shortly.
