Currently,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ultrasuede.us\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ultrasuede<\/a>&nbsp;products in the automotive sector use approximately 30% plant-based materials, a figure expected to rise as supply chain issues are resolved. This move aligns with Toray\u2019s goal to achieve 100% plant-based polyester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since becoming the first manufacturer of plant-based nonwoven suede in 2015, Toray has transitioned over half of its sales volume to more sustainable materials. The APURE shuttle, developed in collaboration with German design firm&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/neomind.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Neomind<\/a>, signifies a pivotal step towards realizing a fully sustainable transportation future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The APURE shuttle emphasizes passenger comfort and durability, featuring an interior designed to \u201cevoke feelings of tranquility\u201d. Toray\u2019s Ultrasuede now replicates the look and feel of premium leather while ensuring easy maintenance and durability suitable for frequent use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This environmentally friendly\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/worldbiomarketinsights.com\/?s=upholstery\" target=\"_blank\">upholstery<\/a>\u00a0not only improves passenger well-being but also complements Toray\u2019s 2024 Automotive Collection theme titled \u2018Greener.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In September 2024, the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.toray.com\/global\/news\/article.html?contentId=i2qb6p8v\"> APURE concept won a Red Dot design award<\/a>, recognized for its eco-friendly interior design that incorporates partially plant-based and recycled materials.
