This study is expected to make a valuable contribution to the ongoing discussions on sustainability assessment of renewable carbon. Moreover, RCI was in Brussels, participating in a conference, a webinar, and meetings with various DGs. These reports analyse key methodological choices that impact the&nbsp;LCA of products containing renewable carbon within existing frameworks and guidelines.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Report 1<\/strong>:<strong>&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/renewable-carbon.eu\/publications\/product\/evaluating-lca-approaches-and-methodologies-for-renewable-carbon-sources-report-1-of-3-renewable-carbon-in-lca-guidelines-march-2025-pdf\/\">Evaluating LCA Approaches and Methodologies for Renewable Carbon Sources \u2013 Renewable Carbon in LCA Guidelines<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;(146 pages), meticulously&nbsp;evaluates these methodological nuances across several established standards such as ISO 14040\/44, the GHG Protocol Product Standard and others, highlighting&nbsp;both areas of similarities and differences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>In Report 2<\/strong>:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/renewable-carbon.eu\/publications\/product\/evaluating-lca-approaches-and-methodologies-for-renewable-carbon-sources-report-2-of-3-renewable-carbon-in-recycling-situations-march-2025-pdf\/\"><strong>Evaluating LCA Approaches and Methodologies for Renewable Carbon Sources \u2013 Renewable Carbon in Recycling Situations<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;(36 pages), we&nbsp;specifically address the complexities of renewable carbon in recycling contexts, highlighting the challenges and opportunities for LCA and carbon footprint studies in&nbsp;these scenarios.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Report 3<\/strong>:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/renewable-carbon.eu\/publications\/product\/evaluating-lca-approaches-and-methodologies-for-renewable-carbon-sources-report-3-of-3-non-technical-summary-march-2025-pdf\/\"><strong>Evaluating LCA Approaches and Methodologies for Renewable Carbon Sources \u2013 Non-technical Summary<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;(15 pages) provides a concise, non-technical&nbsp;summary of 15 pages, summarising the key findings and actionable insights to inform policy makers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The publication was supported by a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/renewable-carbon-initiative.com\/news\/pr\/?id=600\">press release<\/a>, a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/renewable-carbon.eu\/news\/how-leading-lca-standards-address-renewable-carbon-an-rci-study\/\">portal article<\/a>&nbsp;and a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/posts\/renewable-carbon-initiative_lca-renewablecarbon-sustainability-activity-7305528002275082240-lZW3?utm_source=share&amp;utm_medium=member_desktop&amp;rcm=ACoAACtWlgcB6Dvc5Xrk8C5AeeRD0KRz6QVwTJ0\">LinkedIn&nbsp;post<\/a>. In addition, the reports were shared directly with our broader network of&nbsp;policy contacts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/renewable-carbon.eu\/publications\/?search=1&amp;woof_text=Evaluating%20LCA%20Approaches\"><strong>Find all three reports at our publication platform<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:13px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2)&nbsp;RCI Ambassador&nbsp;Activities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>18 March 2025, Euractiv webinar in Brussels:<\/strong>&nbsp;RCI joined a Euractiv webinar on \u201cRenewable Carbon and the Circular Economy,\u201d discussing wood-based value&nbsp;chains, policy needs and the recent BIC\/RCI biomass availability study.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>20\/21 March 2025, Separate meetings with representatives of DG RTD, GROW and ENV:<\/strong>&nbsp;RCI met with representatives from DG RTD, DG GROW, and DG ENV&nbsp;to present recent publications and discuss the Bioeconomy Strategy update and regulatory opportunities for renewable carbon. Additionally, RCI contributed to a DG&nbsp;GROW expert group meeting on forest-based industries.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>21 April 2025, Argus Agriculture and Feedstocks Conference:<\/strong>&nbsp;RCI participated in the Argus Agriculture and Feedstocks Conference, joining a panel with RCI&nbsp;member Braskem to explore bio-based chemicals and bioplastics as opportunities for agricultural diversification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3)&nbsp;RCI Website Relaunch<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>RCI has launched a redesigned website. The site is more organised, making it easier for visitors to quickly understand RCI\u2019s purpose, vision, and the definition of&nbsp;renewable carbon. It clearly communicates RCI\u2019s founding reasons and its ambitious goal to replace fossil carbon by 2050. The improved tab structure enhances&nbsp;navigation, allowing users to efficiently access specific content categories.
