Both of these problems could be significantly mitigated if we could use CO<sub>2<\/sub> as a carbon source for the production of fuels and chemical feedstocks.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Various different approaches are currently being explored for the catalytic conversion of CO<sub>2<\/sub> to methanol (CH<sub>3<\/sub>OH).
