Together, Solvay and&nbsp;IUCN&nbsp;aim to support the Framework\u2019s objectives and accelerate the adoption of best practices for nature conservation across the chemical industry.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Solvay commits to&nbsp;<strong>allocating 30% of permeable land located near biodiversity-sensitive areas to support nature conservation and restoration efforts by 2030<\/strong>, along with other commitments validated by&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.act4nature.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/SOLVAY-VF.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Act4Nature International<\/a>. These initiatives build upon Solvay\u2019s sustainability strategy and measurable actions launched to protect biodiversity and nature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through the collaboration, IUCN will support Solvay in implementing best practices at&nbsp;<strong>priority manufacturing sites located near biodiversity-sensitive areas<\/strong>. IUCN will assess Solvay\u2019s current initiatives and provide science-based recommendations, tools, and indicators to help the Group achieve its commitments. Reviews will consider site initiatives such as ecological inventories, habitat restoration, partnerships with environmental organizations, local communities, and scientific institutions.
