PlasticsFatE is tackling this head-on with actionable solutions. A\u00a0key milestone has been the release of our first policy brief,\u00a0&#8220;Setting the Standard for Plastic\u00a0Exposure and Hazard Assessment.&#8221;\u00a0This document lays the groundwork for creating standardized\u00a0guidelines to evaluate the risks and hazards of plastic exposure, a critical step toward informed and\u00a0effective regulatory frameworks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Engaging the Public Through Dialogue<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to policy advancements, PlasticsFatE has launched a thought-provoking podcast series.\u00a0These episodes bring together AI experts to explore the environmental and health challenges posed\u00a0by plastics. Our first podcast topics include the triple planetary crisis, the impact of microplastics\u00a0on human immune cells, and innovative approaches to addressing plastic pollution.
