The CO2<\/sub>-based Fuels and Chemicals Conference has successfully established itself as an international and unique meeting and networking ground for the entire Carbon Capture and Utilisation (CCU) and Power-to-X industry and its customers. The upcoming 13th edition of the conference will take place on 29\u201330 April 2025, Cologne, Germany as a hybrid event. Organiser nova-Institute expects over 250 leading international experts in the field of CCU, green hydrogen production and Power-to-X. Once more the event will showcase the latest innovations and most important developments in the fast-growing field of Carbon Capture and Utilisation with plenty of opportunities to network. Innovators and researchers are invited to present their latest advancements and submit their abstracts until 22 November 2024.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

A milestone for the enforcement of CCU was reached on 28 June 2024 when the Council of the European Union and the European Parliament published the Net-Zero Industry Act (NZIA) in their Official Journal. The act finally acknowledges CO\u2082 utilisation as an eligible strategic net-zero technology, hereby providing an official reference and foundation to support and encourage the deployment of clean technology, such as CCU throughout Europe. With a current capacity of over 1.5 million tonnes for CO2<\/sub>-based products and steadily growing demand, CCU technologies are helping to establish CO2<\/sub> as a renewable carbon feedstock, highlighting the urgency of investment and innovation in this field. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Main topics of the conference will focus on current developments. They include innovation, strategy and policy in CCU, carbon capture technologies, green hydrogen production, Power-to-X for fuels (transportation and aviation), CO2<\/sub>-based chemicals, materials and polymers, mineralisation and electro- and photochemistry, as well as advanced research for CCU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Call for Abstracts and Posters<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Companies and institutes are welcome to present their latest products, technologies or developments. Abstracts can be uploaded at http:\/\/co2-chemistry.eu\/call-for-abstracts\/<\/a>. Submission deadline for abstracts is 22 November 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Posters can be submitted until 21 March 2025 at http:\/\/co2-chemistry.eu\/call-for-posters\/<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Call for Innovations<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The innovation award \u201cBest CO2<\/sub> Utilisation 2025\u201d celebrates innovative products and technologies in the field of Carbon Capture and Carbon Utilisation. The nominees will be selected by a board of leading international experts. The winners will be elected in a live voting by a vast audience at one of the world\u2019s premier and most prominent conferences on CCU and Power-to-X. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The submission deadline for innovations is 7 February 2025. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
