In addition, the higher the water content the higher the risk of internal decay due to microbiological activity. Sensitivity to water depends on the material formulation. Unlike most other composite products, GeoDeck\u2019s patented formula contains no wood fillers. Instead, GeoDeck includes rapidly-renewable rice hulls, which is naturally more resistant to internal microbial activity and water absorption than wood and wood by-products.<\/p>\n<p>Not all composites are made the same.
