Commercial production has just commenced on a new cellulose film manufacturing line at Innovia Films\u2019 Wigton site in the UK.<\/b><\/p>\n
The \u20ac10 Million investment for this new machine was agreed two years ago and will replace two existing production lines which have been in operation since the late 1940\u2019s. The project, which was predominantly designed, built and project managed in-house, was completed on time and on budget.<\/p>\n
The new machine will ultimately become Innovia Films\u2019 highest output line, will allow the manufacture of some grades faster than currently achieved and will consistently improve quality on others. Substantial environmental benefits and efficiencies were an integral part of the design and will lower Innovia Films\u2019 carbon footprint.<\/p>\n

The first NatureFlex films were launched in 2003, and have, since then, been awarded 13 major packaging accolades. A recent addition to the cellulose based films range includes the biodegradable, compostable and high barrier, NatureFlex NK product which is suitable for use in a wide range of applications, in particular dried foods and snacks. NatureFlex is a registered trademark of Innovia Films Group, a major producer of Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene (BOPP) and cellulose (CellophaneTM<\/sup>) films with production sites in the UK, USA, Belgium and Australia.
