The wide range of products includes ammonia anhydrous BMBcert<sup>TM<\/sup>, ammonia solution 24.5% BMBcert<sup>TM<\/sup>, urea prills BMBcert<sup>TM<\/sup>, urea solution 40% BMBcert<sup>TM<\/sup>, and urea solution 45% BMBcert<sup>TM<\/sup>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>BASF applies a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.basf.com\/global\/en\/who-we-are\/sustainability\/we-drive-sustainable-solutions\/circular-economy\/mass-balance-approach\/biomass-balance.html\">biomass balance approach<\/a>&nbsp;to replace fossil resources at the beginning of the production process with certified biowaste raw materials which are attributed to the products. The mass balanced products are certified according to ISCC (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification) PLUS standards. In addition, BASF is using electricity from renewable sources for the manufacturing of the ammonia and urea products, further reducing their production-related emissions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These measures lower the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.basf.com\/global\/en\/who-we-are\/sustainability\/we-drive-sustainable-solutions\/quantifying-sustainability\/product-carbon-footprint.html\">product carbon footprint<\/a>&nbsp;(PCF) of these products by at least 80% versus the average PCF of conventional fossil ammonia derivatives<sup>*&nbsp;<\/sup>without compromising on quality and performance. The certified BMBcert<sup>TM<\/sup>products enable customers to reduce their scope 3 emissions as well as the product carbon footprint of their products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cBASF was the first company to develop both an industrial ammonia as well as an industrial urea process. This envisages developing at least one circular or lower PCF option for every major product line by 2025.
