In South America soybeans enter critical growth stage &#8212; partly with soil moisture deficits &#8212; but conditions are still largely favourable&#8230;\n<\/li>\n<li>German biodiesel capacities have become excessive in view of dwindling B100 market, turning the country into a net exporter of biodiesel. The slowdown in Germany contrasts with growing biodiesel markets in other EU countries&#8230;\n<\/li>\n<li>For Oct\/Sept 2006\/07 we estimate world consumption of fish oil at 950 Thd T, the lowest in 30 years and down sharply from 1.0 Mn T in Oct\/Sept 2005\/06. Some aquaculture feed producers switch to rape oil&#8230;\n<\/li>\n<li>Dec 31 Canadian canola stocks significantly below expectations at 6.7 Mn T, implying a decline by 0.8 Mn T from the year before. But stocks were either underreported and\/or the 2006 crop will need to be revised downward&#8230;\n<\/li>\n<li>Cumulative oilseed crushings in the now 27 member states of the European Union reached a record 17.9 Mn T in July\/Dec 2006, up by 1.1 Mn T or 7% from a year earlier.
