The company is exhibiting at Packaging Innovations\u2013 one of the world\u2019s largest packaging conferences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TIPA\u2019s compostable packaging offers the ultimate alternative to plastic packaging, boasting the same durability, shelf-life, barrier protection and transparency, without the detrimental impact on the environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The world currently produces 141 million tonnes of plastic packaging a year, a third of which leaks from waste management systems, polluting the environment[1]<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n

In the UK alone, plastic packaging accounts for 70 per cent of the total plastic waste produced[2]<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the past 10 years, TIPA has worked tirelessly to develop solutions to the plastic packaging crisis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

TIPA has offered packaging solutions to UK-based Riverford Organics and Waitrose Duchy, as well as international brands such as Tour de France sponsor Santini and fashion brand Gabriela Hearst.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

TIPA\u2019s compostable packaging is fully certified to biodegrade in both home or industrial composters, leaving no trace on the environment and offering the ultimate convenience for end consumers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Using the latest developments in technology, TIPA has launched a wide range of fully compostable packaging including coffee pods, zipper bags, net packaging, resealable bags and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recent developments include TIPA\u2019s fully compostable and recyclable paddy straw trays crafted from the waste product of rice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The trays not only prevent air pollution, caused by burning agricultural waste, but also offer a supremely eco-conscious alternative to conventional plastic packaging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to developing compostable packaging, as a founding member of the Compostable Coalition UK, which includes brands such as Tesco, Marks and Spencer <\/em>and Ocado<\/em>, TIPA is working to ensure compostable packaging is fully integrated with the bio-waste recycling infrastructure in the UK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2022 the Compostable Coalition UK announced it had received a \u00a31.2M grant from UKRI to identify policy and legislative interventions for compostable solutions to address the global plastics challenge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Exhibiting at Packaging Innovations, TIPA is looking for brands to join them in embracing compostable packaging to create a plastic-free future for people and planet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TIPA\u2019s CEO and CO-Founder Daphna Nissenbaum said<\/strong>: \u201cOur mission is to end the packaging sector’s plastic problem.
