The framework agreement with Alternative Petroleum and Power Ltd. (APPL, NIG) worth more than USD400 million. APPL (NIG) intents with the contract to secure plug&operate technology made in Germany. The supply of modules from bse Methanol is one project in the vast infrastructure investment including hydrodam, electrolyzer, Haber-Bosch synthesis, backup power gentsets and new built export terminal. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

First tranches of the\u00a0Flex<\/em>Methanol\u00ae skids are shipped to the site at the Liberty Oil & Gas Free Zone, Eastern Obolo Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State in Nigeria by Q3\/2025 under the condition of the final investment decision before September 2024. The period until the FID is used to finalizing the FEED studies and completing the environmental permitting of the parallel Hydropower project with Multiconsult, Norway under World Bank Standards. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before the Hydrodam and power generators are erected, electricity from the mains and existing renewable energy assets feed the e-methanol production. The project is supported by the National and local authorities by granting land in free trade zone. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The business development director of bse Methanol Mr. Stephan Rieke states that the pre-fabricated fully functional methanol skids not only reduce the construction time but allow the earliest possible revenues from the production making the infrastructure project attractive for the investor and lenders. Besides of this, the region becomes a lighthouse of Africa as blue and green methanol hub for the global shipping industry in long-term. Mr. Rieke had built in the past the largest and now 11-year operational PtX plant in Germany for the company Audi and expects groundbreaking of the Project Green, Nigeria in Q3\/2025.<\/p>\n\n\n
