{"id":136985,"date":"2024-01-12T07:30:00","date_gmt":"2024-01-12T06:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/renewable-carbon.eu\/news\/?p=136985"},"modified":"2024-01-05T12:37:18","modified_gmt":"2024-01-05T11:37:18","slug":"lyondellbasell-and-pigeon-singapore-collaborate-to-incorporate-circulenrenew-polymers-in-nursing-bottles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/renewable-carbon.eu\/news\/lyondellbasell-and-pigeon-singapore-collaborate-to-incorporate-circulenrenew-polymers-in-nursing-bottles\/","title":{"rendered":"LyondellBasell and Pigeon Singapore Collaborate to Incorporate CirculenRenew Polymers in Nursing Bottles"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\n\n<p><strong>LyondellBasell (NYSE: LYB) and Pigeon Singapore \u2013 a market leader producing high quality mother and baby care products for Southeast Asia, Middle East, Africa and Oceania regions &#8211; announced today their collaboration on advancing the sustainable research and development efforts in baby nursing bottles.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The renewed series of the Pigeon nursing bottles will use the LyondellBasell bio-based&nbsp;<em>Circulen<\/em>Renew polypropylene polymers, as part of Pigeon\u2019s transitioning away from using 100% virgin polypropylene resins.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lyondellbasell.com\/link\/ea171183e8bf4b05a4e6575f1663e5a0.aspx\" alt=\"LyondellBasell and Pigeon Singapore Collaborate to Incorporate CirculenRenew Polymers in Nursing Bottles\" style=\"aspect-ratio:1.8063943161634104;width:747px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>LyondellBasell bio-based&nbsp;<em>Circulen<\/em>Renew polypropylene polymers (PP) are used in the cap and hood of the renewed Pigeon SofTouch\u2122 T-Ester, PPSU and Glass nursing bottle (first three bottles from the left), and in the cap, hood and bottle of the PP nursing bottle and PP straw bottle (last two bottles). They are also used in the bottle handle of the PP straw bottle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The LyondellBasell&nbsp;<em>Circulen<\/em>Renew polymers are made from renewable feedstocks derived from bio-based wastes and residual oils, such as used cooking oils. These feedstocks are used in our conventional production processes along with conventional feedstocks, and are allocated to&nbsp;<em>Circulen<\/em>Renew products using an ISCC PLUS-certified mass balance approach. The use of renewable feedstocks offers a lower carbon footprint compared to fossil-based feedstocks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cAt LyondellBasell, we are committed to creating solutions for everyday sustainable living and supporting our customers in achieving their sustainability goals.
