The plant will process more than 15 million bushels of corn into 40 milion gallons of ethanol annually and also produce 128,000 tons of distillers grain.<\/p>\n<p>Construction has also begun on the Amaizing Energy ethanol plant near Denison, Iowa. Iowa now has 13 operating plants and five under construction.<\/p>\n<p>Currently there are 81 ethanol plants nationwide with the capacity to produce over 3.4 billion gallons annually. Ten more ethanol plants are under construction across the country.<\/p>\n<p>(Vgl.
