Subsequently, he decided to focus on the topic of sustainability, completed a Master\u2019s degree and a PhD in \u201cLife Cycle and Sustainability\u201d. Within the empirical part of his PhD project, he built up extensive experience in the application of LCA in industry, more specifically in the aluminum industry. At nova, Matthias has successfully completed many <a href=\"https:\/\/renewable-carbon.eu\/publications\/product\/pef-a-sustainable-packaging-material-for-bottles-pdf\/)\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/renewable-carbon.eu\/publications\/product\/pef-a-sustainable-packaging-material-for-bottles-pdf\/)\">LCA projects<\/a>, which since have been peer reviewed, and led strategy workshops for companies.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In 2020, Matthias joined the nova team as head of the sustainability department.
