He is the program manager of nova\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.advanced-recycling.eu\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"www.advanced-recycling.eu\">Advanced Recycling Conference<\/a> and the main author of nova\u2019s comprehensive market report \u201cMapping of Advanced Plastic Waste Recycling Technologies and their Global Capacities\u201d which was published in early 2024. In the same year he managed several due diligence audits for different advanced recycling technologies. Lars leads a working group on recycling in the Renewable Carbon Initiative (RCI) which published a Position Paper on Chemical and Physical Recycling in 2024.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beyond advanced recycling he has an equally strong expertise in the field of biorefineries proven by the execution of a <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/renewable-carbon.eu\/publications\/product\/innovative-bio-based-products-for-a-clean-transition-pdf\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>new study on forest-based biorefineries<\/strong><\/a> commissioned by the Confederation of European Paper Industries (Cepi) in late 2024. As leader he successfully implemented a technology database in the Tech4Biowaste project funded by CBEJU which also included an extensive mapping of technologies that are being utilised in biorefineries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At nova his responsibilities include the monitoring of feedstock, technologies, and innovations, he holds a certificate as quality management representative from the T\u00dcV Rheinland Akademie GmbH and is part of nova\u2019s quality management team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lars holds a PhD from the RWTH Aachen, where he focused on colloidal and environmental chemistry.
