These new materials are aligned with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.trinseo.com\/Sustainability\/Trinseo-2030-Sustainability-Goals\">Trinseo\u2019s 2030 Sustainability Goals\u00a0<\/a>that 40% of its products will be sustainably advantaged.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trinseo developed two sustainable&nbsp;Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) families \u2013 the APILON\u2122 52 BIO TL and TNE,&nbsp;tailored for sustainable synthetic leather, produced respectively through coagulation, and extrusion &#8211; calendaring process. Containing up to 50% bio-based content, these materials provide luxury brands an alternative bio-textile to animal and synthetic leather, and they are suitable for applications such as footwear, as well as fashion apparel &amp; accessories. Along with physical and mechanical properties similar to conventional alternatives made with PVC and PU, these bio-based grades also provide a soft touch resembling natural leather.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u201cOur TPU solutions for footwear and apparel have long been successful in meeting the highest standards of aesthetics, durability and, above all, sustainability.
